Beginning in mid-December, the Electric Distribution Department conducts winter overhead maintenance programs. These programs include tree trimming, hardware tightening and transformer protection upgrades.
When trimming trees around power lines as well as service lines, it is our practice to contact the property owner to discuss the extent of trimming required prior to starting the work. If the attempt to contact the property owner directly is unsuccessful, a tag will be placed on your door with information relating to trimming as well as contact information.
