Are you interested in serving your community? The New Ulm Police Reserve Unit might be what you've been looking for! The New Ulm Police Reserve Officers are volunteer, non-paid, non-sworn employees of the New Ulm Police Department (NUPD). Duties may include assisting at special events, traffic or crowd control, patrolling with NUPD officers as assigned. A Reserve Officer's duties do not include enforcement of general criminal laws of the State, and the Officer does not have the full powers of arrest or authorization to carry a firearm on duty.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation
- At least 19 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent certification
- Must pass a medical physical, paid for by the City of New Ulm
- Possess a valid Minnesota Driver's license and have a good driving record
- United States citizen
